My friends would've loved this. Unfortunately, Thurs night was the last chance for peeps to get their free 30-minute hippo ride with freeflow of booze. While the cool night breeze was very much appreciated considering my warm attire, I wouldn't mind braving the upper deck in the daytime.

You're lucky my mom was on a mission of her own, and hence was willing to give up the car and allowing me to abandon her while in town.

Only when in the presence of G's dad did it occur to me how far we've come - ageing gracefully from adolescence to adulthood side by side. Less time spent together

The day of the leaky nose and impending H1N1 scare.

I swore I'd inflict some form of torture on myself if I caught H1N1 in my previous personal post, so as punishment, I fell terribly ill on the Saturday after zouk and had to get tested. I'd like to think I'm immune to swine flu so naturally I tested negative.

It seems a handful of people tried to take advantage of my being tested as an excuse to take time off work/whatever, claiming they'd been in contact with me. 2 days of medical leave meant two long days with no peace despite being bed-ridden. Although, I did manage to catch up my forty winks thanks to being heavily medicated all through those two days.

The urge to bolt from the country appears to be growing quite monstrously. Ze people around me seem to be constantly in transit and I wish I had block leave to clear as well. One just returned from 3 weeks in Japan, another returned from a 3-day biz trip to Amsterdam then flew off for another 3 weeks in Germany, and yet another has left for a week in Bali after just returning from a couple days in the Maldives. The seat on my left and the one on its left looks awfully cold and lonely because their occupants have both left for a week in Taiwan.

So ... Can you really blame me?!

This morning while I was being completely unproductive @ work, I came across this insanely fun and creative blog, which I spent reading all the way till lunchtime.

The writer of Color Me Katie is just bursting with interesting and innovative design ideas that spew forth in various random forms not only within the four walls of her apartment, but all over her neighbourhood as well!

Think Banksy minus the political undertones, multiplied by a whole load of colour and whimsical girly humour. Her involvement in Improv Everywhere is documented on her blog as well, and it makes me wish we had the same thing here in SG.

My colleagues have got me hooked on this really awesome bread from a bakery where the queue never seems to end nor disappear. I had enough time to snap a gazillion shots of bananas and random folk passing by while awaiting my turn to get some hot cross buns haha

Ze said buns & very popular German Muesli Loaf that of course doesn't look as good as it tastes because my camera is shitty - the raisin cream bun on the right is just divine!

Chanced upon Cellular Obscura while going about my usual morning routine (google reader ftw). Shall continue to be envious of rad camera phones with megapixels comparable to that of my very first digital camera - a lousy minolta that produced pretty shitty pictures and yet I managed to survive on it all through jc. Hrmmm.

Anyhow, if you're wondering, all the photographs taken are done using a friggin cell phone (wtf).
